This £78,000 project, completed over a 4-week period, involved essential underground infrastructure works aimed at improving foul water management and site drainage efficiency. The scope began with the installation of a new foul pump system, designed to enhance the movement of wastewater from lower to higher elevations, ensuring consistent flow and reducing the risk of blockages or backups. To support this, extensive drainage works were carried out, including the installation and connection of new pipework, manholes, and inspection chambers, all built to meet current regulatory standards. Given the presence of existing underground services, vacuum excavation was employed as a non-invasive, safe digging method to expose utilities without risk of damage. This approach minimised disruption and ensured high levels of safety and accuracy throughout the excavation phase. The project was delivered on time and within budget, providing long-term improvements to the site’s wastewater handling capacity and overall operational reliability.
